A Sufi Story

A farmer had a horse and the horse ran away

And the neighbor said "That's terrible"

And the Farmer said, "You never know."

And the next day the horse came back, leading two wild horses

And the neighbor said, "That's wonderful."

And the farmer said, "You never know".

And the next day the farmer's son was breaking one of the wild horses and fell off and broke his leg.

And the neighbor said "That's terrible"

And the farmer said, "You never know".

And the next day the army came through and took all the young men to fight the war, but they didn't take the farmer's son because he had a broken leg.

And the neighbor said "That's wonderful"

And the farmer said....
